Here we go...
Well after much talk, I have finally started this blog. It will certainly be a work in progress for awhile as I get acquainted with the whole blogging thing and further narrowing the subject matter. I had envisioned this blog as becoming a way to show friends and family exactly what we do up here in beautiful Lake Tahoe. That will certainly be a huge part of it, but I will also be incorporating various other things, e.g., forcing my musical tastes and other random ramblings upon the reader. And without further ado...

Heavenly is joining forces with Nike to put on a freestyle snowboarding competition this Saturday that will last into the evening, under the lights.
The Nike Winter Chosen Tour is a slick production — with fancy lights and fireworks — that pits pro snowboarders against local standouts with $5,000 on the line.
This Saturday’s event will take place from 4-7 p.m. on World Cup run at Heavenly’s California main lodge. You can go and watch for free.
Nike’s Chosen tour also gives snowboarding videographers a chance to put together a short clip of their snowy exploits with the winners getting to travel to Austria for the tour’s grand finale. If you think you have the chops to enter the video competition, visit www.nike.com/chosen.
